I would like to convert my Sabb G variable pitch prop to the standard 3 blade fixed prop. Looking for the parts to do this. I have seen this on an another boat. |

Hi, I have a question: I have a variable pitch Sabb G (not running well) and I consider buying a (well running) Sabb G with a clutch and fixed propeller. 1/ Would it be possible to only exchange the engine and leave the variable pitch propeller? 2/ If not: will complete exchange fit, i.e. are mounting bolt positions and shaft position the same for variable and fixed pitch? |

Sabb G- variable pitch- fixed pitch prop. The mounting holes on the clutch housing will be the same. I have a 2H. The shaft into the clutch housing maybe different. Check with Erik Jansen at the factory- [email protected]. The clutch has an unbelievable life- my variable pitch sat in salt water for 1 year, WD40 for 2 months and 8 year of 30 WT normal operations- oil - prior to this it ran for 30 years- The clutch plate is only .008" thinner than the original. You do have to adjust the clutch maybe every other season. |
