It would be nice to run the engine with original fuel pump. The rubber diaphram is intact but shows some checking or cracking.I don't know whether it leaks or not. Any chance parts are available? Anyone have tips to restoreor replace the diaphram?
If I have to switch to an electric pump I imagine a pretty small/ low pressure pump is all that would be required. Any suggestions? |

BH-6 ?? Am I missing something?? What is a Palmer BH-6?
I don't seem to have any documentation on the BH-6. |

RE: Electric Fuel Pump for Palmer P-60
I have been using an electric fuel pump for my Palmer P-60 since 1995 (Morgan 30 sailboat).
I just replaced the fuel pump with a Purolater (Facet) unit rated at 2-4 PSI and it works perfectly. (around $44.00 on-line or at local auto parts store)
If it produces excessive pressure for your carb, it may force gas out the intake of the carb.
If this happens, reduce the voltage (and pressure)on the fuel pump by adding a 4 ohm 10 watt resistor in series (Radio Shack)
