Is the ZXB block marineized and if so what company did it. I have the manual for the Buchanan Midget which is based on the ZXB Block. For parts call Parry Automotive in Orillia
Ontario. Or you can try antiquemarine.com

I have a ZXB 4 cylinder that was for a marine application. I have mounted it on a small trailer with a radiator and fan that I have to run off a battery as the Hercules ZXB uses a magneto for ignition. I cleaned it up and it runs like new. Copper fittings on the water lines. It was in a farm orchard sprayer (Used a cooling line in the spray mix) and the guy said that his father only used it 10 hours before the pump died. It was a 500 gallon wooden tank. But too poisonous to reuse
Motor Serial number is 1147347
Piston 2 5/8 x 3
Anyone have a good guess as to the age or value of said motor?

That engine was used in the avery and moline model V tractor. This was not a real popular tractor, but most of ones you see either have a bad engine or no engine at all. The tractor was made from the 40's till about 1955. Most of these engines had either a casting date cast into the block or have a stamped date on the right side just above the oil pan. I have not seen a good engine like this sell ever. I would think its worth several hundered and up because they are hard to find. You could advertise it on www.ytmag.com or ask what it might be worth.
