My father and grandfather worked for NELSECO which later became Electric Boat and to this day operates as Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics building submarines.
The name was changed to Electric Boat because of submarines. They built engines under licence from MAN.
My Dad had lots of neat stories about the engines being built, however I dont' have any other literature or facts.
