I use a hand pump (via the dipstick tube) to change the oil on my Palmer P-60. I got about 68 oz this time, but the manual says it takes "about 3 quarts, so I'm wondering if this 'normal'.
I don't think she's burning oil. The plugs had significant carbon fouling last season, but I'm not yet sure of the cause (choke may need adjusting, and there's some corrosion on the flame arrestor which could be inhibiting air intake).
It is 'normal' to get only a little more than 2 quarts out when changing the oil? |

That's all I get. The amount of oil depends on the angle it's mounted in the boat. |
