Hello all! First time on this board. I was given an outboard boat motor, the only thing I know about it is that the cover says "Fastwin" and it has the Evinrude logo on it. It was painted with green camo, so the only thing I can see are the raised letters. On the shaft of the motor there is a plate with the following "Evinrude Motors" with the numbers "15036M-05997" Is there any way to know the year and horsepower of the motor? Thanks in advance!!! |

Hello I have a 1964 Owens with a 327.} I think the trans might be bad but don't know what kind it is. Someone told me a Paragon, but looking at pics it looks like a Borg Warner? Does anyone know? And if you have one for sale, I am interested, The boat just won't go after passing the wake zone, like something is holding it back, a diver is going down to clean in a week, is there some sort of clutch in this tranny? It does go forward and in reverse, I had an old timer tell me if it does that it ain't broke! Any help would be great from anyone... |
