Hello - I'm new to this forum and this is my first posting. I'm a collector of stationary and farm engines, but I have an interest in Marine engines as well. I recently acquired a Lee/Pontiac farm engine "in a basket", but it appears to by 95% there. Included in the basket is a brone Mayer carburetor (pictured) that appears to be missing a part or two. There appears to be a piece missing between the air intake/choke horn and the main body. Can anyone tell me what is supposed to go in the space? Also, if anyone can tell me if there are any obviously missing pieces, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry to be so ignorant, but how do you know that it is a Mayer? I am interested in that kind of carb for a boat I am doing, but mine is far less complete than yours, and I didn't even know it was a Mayer. John

Forgive me but I sent a few detailed photos to sombody in this last year regarding the Mayer and the very questions you are asking regarding the air valve and its springs. Does anybody recall the photos. Remember guys the brain is the second thing that goes!!!.
