I notice that turning points for Truscott 2 cycles were the addition of a 2nd oiler in the back low down for the cylinder and the extension downward of the water jacket to cary it below the exhaust port opening (both of these done by 1903) Then the solid head by 1904. Anyone know about the aluminum engine covers that are shown completly covering the engine except for the flywheel in some catalogues? Were they bolted to the engine or the boat frame? |
