I have a Joe's Gearbox from the 30's that calls for 'cylinder oil' as a lubricant. The only cylinder oil I can find seems to be for steam engines or diesel engines. Any recommendations on the proper lubricant? dmm |

Just use 30W non detergent If is is a show engine make sure to not let it idle for a long time in neutral or reverse. Use forward as nothing in side (planetary gears or clutches) are moving when it is in forward. Hope this helps Ernie |
