I have now finished the R3M 1.5hp Stuart rebuild. I can get the engine to fire but not run. It seems to be a carburetor problem. If anyone can help with Stuart Carburetor diagrams or set up instructions I would be most greatfull. |

Tony ,I must apoligise .I have had what is known as a " Seniors Moment'' .I tried to post but sort of stuffed things up. However I will send you a diagram of the Stuart R3 Carburetor. Your problem if it is related to the fuel system could be any of the following... Check that the small vent hole in the fuel tank cap is clear. Check by removing the top of the float chamber that enough fuel is entering the float chamber and that it is shutting of when the correct level is reached. The main jet is clear. The air valve is set correctly .The air valve is the perforated brass screwed sleeve . Screwed in and it reduces the amount of air entering .Screwed out and the opposite occurs .The ideal setting is screw out about a quarter of an inch. |
