This came in by email:

HELLO:

I was wondering if you could help me. I am building a scale model of a Monterey fishing boat. I had a 26 footer back in the 1960's that I fished with out of the San Francisco Bay Area. I would like to build a scale model of a signal cylinder Hicks or Frisco Standard type engine to put in my model.

Any information or help to locate plans, prints, ect. to aid me in the construction of the engine would be very much appreciated. THANK YOU in advance for any help that you can give me.

Regards,
John Confort

Old post, but the topic deserves revival.

I now have a nearly complete set of drawings for the early Yuba/Hicks one-lunger (Hicks style with cross-ways camshaft, but as built by Yuba). These drawings and more are available through the SF Maritime Park.

My goal is to create animated (non-firing) models for use by the folks who build Monterey Clipper model boats. So far, I have a nearly complete CAD model constructed... now working on designs for buildable model parts.

I've been posting on the topic at RC Groups:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2601629

BTW, the green model above was built in a small series by a fellow named Leon Embry. His models are so accurate, I'm sure he must have had the drawings too...
