Hi. I am new to this site and hope you can help me with some basic information about my Gray marine engine. I recently bought a 1963 Marinette with twin Gray (Buick) engines. I think they are 215s. I am unsure of the firing order on the starboard engine. Stamped on both valve covers is the following order: 13456278. Stamped on the intake manifold is the following firing order: 18436572 which is the same number as appears on the valve covers and intake manifold of the port (well running) engine. Should the starboard engine have a different firing order because it is counter rotating? The drives are Velvet-Drives. The serial number for this engine appears to be: C4GMJ573. I would appreciate any ideas and information about my engines. |
