I am doing some research on the Chadwick Engineering Works, Philadelphia, early 1900's. They started out in 1903 building engines for cars and boats. Does anyone have any information on "JAVELIN", 37' overall x 5'6" beam. Designed by N.L. Skene in 1907 and built by the George Lawley & Son Co. Original owner Herbert Austin, Marion, Ma. 6 cyl. 150 h.p.?

D.Marin, if you still read this web site let me know I have recently come into possession of many of Norman L Skene's original magazine collections of the years you mentioned above-- I'll see if I can find out about "Javelin" if you haven't already!

I recently ran across an ad that was posted in the May 1911 issue of "THE RUDDER". The JAVELIN was listed for sale, less engine. "Is to be sold without engine, as owner wishes to use it in a hydroplane." The boat was being sold through the Hollis Burgess Yacht Agency, in Boston. Does anyone have any information or sources for any of the above?
