A friend is restoring an Ellsworth Foundry engine. The photos are the remains of a grease cup that was on it. The only marking on the cup is a 1 on a wrench flat. The single distinguishing feature is the band around the lower part of the grease reservoir. He would like to find two complete grease cups like it but even a photo of one would be helpful as he may attempt to make a couple of them if all else fails.

Seems to me it looks like the classic prop shaft grease cup with the T handle. |

Richard, Thanks for responding. Yes it is a typical grease cup in type but he wants to find the original style. I have several pairs of the t handle type from different manufacturers I could give him but he really wants look alikes for this one. I have catalogs for Lunkenheimer, Fairbanks, Williamson, Powell, Crane, American Injector, etc., but I have yet to seen one with that lower band. Maybe somebody out there has one and would be able to give us a manufacturer's name or a photo of one. Thanks |

Bill, You are right, it may well be a cup they made themselves. They certainly had the capability to do that work. I thought I would try as many possibilities as possible such as this site, the Smokstak ads, etc. If they were made by Ellsworth, finding one, much less a pair, is a pipe dream. |

Never give up the search. I looked for a Kermath single cylinder exhaust/intake manifold for 15 years and went to an auction and bought a NOS one for $.50. |
