For anyone who is restoring or building a boat , a bandsaw is a requirement.
The notes about re-sawing at this site

and about the geometry of the set of the teeth is 100% spot on.
In particluar have a look at the Re Saw page. I suspect that the same geometric rules appply to hand held jig saws.
I put this note here rather than Miscellaneous so that folks might get at it faster :=}

Reminds me of the bandsaw at The Mystic Seaport, its the biggest one I,ve seen ! I looked for a photo but can't find it ? |
