Any suggestions for removing the pulley off the crankshaft of a Graymarine 4-45 or other Graymarine engine. I'm afraid to use a three arm gear puller because of the thin edge of the "V" where the puller would be pulling. I have removed the key set screw and have applied PB Blaster to loosen up some of the corrosion. Thanks, Arnie |

I've had success on simular applications with putting tension on the pulley with a puller and then setting a punch to the center of the shaft and striking the punch with a swift blow from a one pound hammer. Generaly it breaks the pully loose in order to be pulled with the puller....be certain the surface of the shaft is sanded clean and lubed |
