I have this Clinton engine in my collection. "Long life, 4 horse power, cast iron engine" Is there anybody who know this kind of engine. The most interesting thing is the reverse-system, that you move all the engine forward and back, with the handle. The engine was connected to a small controllable pitch propeller. Does anyone have a manual or any paper on this kind of engine? I will com back to the serial no. and the model no.

Im sure I have a parts break down for this engine, but not the marine frame. The engine looks like a standard Clinton, Im sure I have an engine stored out in the shop of the same type. The marine conversion is very unusual, I have seen the 700 series engine with a mounted F-N-R gearbox, But never this arrangement, Good find.

The engine doesn’t want to run, ignition miss, somebody who knows about spare parts for ignition? On the top of the carburettor, a kind of filter or something is missing, need to know? The reverse-system is marked with US pat. So its not home made. The controllable pitch propeller is about 250 mm in diameter. I another one who are only about 200 mm in diameter! Where can I get original sticks?

Clinton engine parts are still available on the net, Just search for them, They are very proud of there parts, but you can get them.
The top of the carb would have had a flash suppressor, Not an air filter, That may be hard to find.
