If I need a head gasket or intake manifold gasket for a somewhat "modern" engine (late 50's or so; is material available to make one?My engine is a Lathrop 4 cylinder and I don't think anyone would have gaskets for this. Brand Cedrone |

If you save the old head gasket you may be able to get a reproduction compressible copper gasket made by John Baker. At present I am waiting to see his P-60 gaskets. His prototype was pretty good and if he can clear the few problems that I found with it he should have a winner. I am in no way involved in the business. My only interest is to find someone who can make these gaskets with sufficiant quality to be useful. John will need a old gasket for a pattern so if you have not trashed it hang on to it. I don't know what if any arrangements John may make with Andrew so I will leave that aspect of the problem to them. I have asked John to give me quotes on Palmer ZR and NR exhaust manifold gaskets as well as the BH and YT. I have no interest in selling gaskets. I need these particular gasket models for engines I am restoring so if you need a gasket fitting those model you will have to go directly to John. |
