This DisPro is a 1921 boat, built in Tonawanda , New York. It last was in the water in 1938 when it was taken out for a refit. It has since passed through only 2 owners , both of whom really wanted to see the boat get re-done, but just could not finish it - the present owner (of 30 years) called the Dippy Doctor ( Paul Dodington) and voila , there she is. A really nice job and ready for many years of enjoyment. I had her out for a spin this weekend and she went like the wind - damn fast ( for a DisPro) miro The boat at my dock 5) The engine cover - quite unique - proabably because it was an American made boat 2} The works behind the dashboard including the recoil starter, the primer, the two grease lines, and the ignition wirining. 3} The Dippy Doctor - Paul Dodington He has more knowledge of the history and the vagaries and subtleties of the DisPro than anyone alive today.

Very nice. Your dock has had some wonderful boats tied up to it over the years... I remember this one from last year! |
