I noticed reading the Palmer manual that they recommend non-detergent oil for the 50 hour break-in period. Is this really necessary? Thanks.

My manual says to use 20 weight for break-in period. My machinist also recommended non-detergent oil. I find it somewhat difficult to locate a vender who carries this oil.
