The following has been sent in by Dick Day and include comments and photos from Allan R. Dick will probably add some information below.
quote:From Dick Day I would like to identify the probable cylinder. The crankcase, shaft, flywheel are obviously Palmer probably model L. Allan has a nice collection of Palmers and he does very nice restoration work... Thanks. Dick.
quote:From Allan R Richard How are you. Took my L2 to 2 shows in recent weeks. It ran very well after doing a few adjustments. Will send some photos later. While I was there someone gave me some photos of a Palmer engine. I have attached the photos. Looks to me like a Palmer L but someone has changed the cylinder to something from some other engine. The photo in yellow is how they first got it. Some restoration work has been done hence the green and the addition of a carbi and exhaust. Seems to me that the exhaust valve is offset from the cam lift. Do you recogonise the cylinder. Its definitly a Palmer bottom end. Regards Allan

Ed I suggest you look on the P-60 section. You will find part numbers on most of the items you are looking for. |
