Yeah, Yeah, I screwed it up!! The red engine is the latest find. The light colored one is the 2 cylinder. Note the same "tappet" holder, same
atmospheric intake valve area design, same cylinder, same flywheel.
The one cyl. must be later 'cause it has some refinements like some brass castings are iron.
Instead of just a hole to drip oil to lube the main bearings the one cyl has the old style bayonet grease fittings (or it could have had screw down cups). It also has a balanced crank.

Is this the "roadside " motor I heard about from the Maine NY show? Nice Score! Will you be at the (sp) Ruden Farm show this weekend in Owego? |

Not sure what "roadside" means (I was set up near a park paved road)but it was the Maine show.
I have never attended the Rudin show.
