Has anyone ever replaced the sending unit/wiring coming from the fuel pump? Mine is very old and corroded, but I'm a little worried about going into that part of the pump. Thanks

Why risk it. Just replace the whole pump.

What should the pump deliver? The manual says that the carb float is factory set to receive 2psi. The only/lowest new pumps I've been able to find are Facet(bendix) 2.75-4.0 psi. Would this be acceptable?
