I'm not sure whether a marinised DAF 575 qualifies on this site as antique but can anyone assist on getting a power take off to run a hydraulic pump on the above. The unit is installed in a Dutch barge and has a Velvet Drive marine gearbox without any pto and I'm told that the Velvet Drive has never been made with one. the instruction manual I have says " A hydraulic pump for steering assistance is located on the rear side of the dynamo" The manual is for the marinised version but I think this is a hangover from the lorry manual as there is nothing I can see in the way of removable panels or anything else that might conceal what I am looking for anywhere near the dynamo. I could use a belt driven pump but would prefer not. |

Hi Ciaran Just a suggestion, but have you tried looking at the oil pressure relief valve? if it was not opening at the correct point, it would probably cause the problem you're experiencing. hope this helps Steve king [email protected] |
