Just saw this and thought it might be on interest to some: http://www.sfmyc.org/NewsLetter/NN2000/NautNM008.html "Nostalgia Engineering from Lakewood will be showcasing a new Monterey Fishing Boat. The Monterey Clippers were the little Italian fishing boats which made San Francisco and Fisherman's Wharf world famous. This new hull, to be shown at the Festival, was designed after San Francisco's historical "Wetton". The model is 58" long (two inches to the foot) and has a 19" beam, and 7" draft. What sets this kit above all others is it that it features an exact, beautifully detailed, and fully animated model of the original "Hicks Engine" in both single and double cylinder versions. The prototype hull and engines have taken over 3 years to design and construct. It promises to be a world class model you won't want to miss and will be for sale in very limited quantities." |

Robert, Thanks... I sent an email to the webmaster of the SFMYC site asking for more information or an email address for "Nostalgia Engineering from Lakewood". Hopefully he will post it here. Regards, Andrew |

Here is a link to a model of a Monterey Fishing boat that is on display at the San Francisco Maritime Museum, not necessarily the same as the model described above. Regards, Andrew |
