I was in for 3 editions of XXL - remember that I have a lot of acerage to cover.
I was looking for an engine on the front that would allow me to point out to the great unwashed out there what the parts are. As for colour - anything that doesn't clash with grease and oily crud is OK.

What color is ASH? Is that ASH like the tree... or ASH like fireplace residue?

I actually don't care what the color is... just wondering... maybe it's a Taunton, Mass. color.

If you need a minimum volume to get the price down Bob, we can certainly sell them here on the site and you can ship them to the customer.

Andrew

Andrew,
Ash is like the fireplace residue. Most "T" shirts you see with iron-on or silkscreen designs are done in "ASH". Also I did some comparisons over the last 2 days. Ash is definatly cooler than green, black or dark blue.
Have a good one

I like the ash color and Andrew's Logo on the front. If you go with a large print on the back, I think an ink print would be better than the hard plastic feel of iron on's. Put me down for two XL's.

I would like two XL and one Large t-shirts. Selling them on this site would be a good idea as we know we will get them dirty and torn and need another one later. The Old Marine Engine logo with a pocket and gray/ash color would be my first choice.

OK OK - I guess I need to pay attention to this again (now that I have beaten off some of my pesky customers who insist that I work on their projects and ignore my hobby )

My tally as of today is that we need -

(10) XL, (7) L, (10) XXL and (2) M and the predominant color is ASH and we have a mixed bag on the printing.

I will talk to the imprinter and see what he has to say and report back after Mystic.

Regards

Bob Price and Don Bashline have done some graphic magic to transform the OME logo and make it into a format suitable for use on the t-shirt.

Here is the proposed graphic(s)... your feedback would be appreciated. Bob will post some comments below.

OK folks - these images are in JPEG format so now we can readily manipulate them - size, color etc.

Total is now at 34 shirts not counting our Aussie freinds who are going to make them down under to save shipping costs. The thing we haven't firmed up is what is on where. Many would like just the logo, no words, on the pocket and then a large logo with the words on the back. Do most of you want a pocket or will a just the logo on the left breast area be enuf. I suspect pockets will cost more.

What say you?

OK folks - here's the latest scoop.

The prices for the shirts are as follows -

No pockets
Small thru XL - - - $ 8.00 ea.
2XL - - - - $ 10.00 ea.

With Pockets
Small thru XL - - - -$ 10.00 ea.
2XL - - - - $ 12.00 ea.

The prices do not include shipping and I will post that cost as soon as I learn it.

The OME logo will be printed over the left breast area and the full logo with the words will be printed large on the back. Color can be had an no extra cost. The shirt will be ash color (grey).

The printing will be done by

Scott Wilcox
T-Shirts N' Things
P.O. Box 1153
Wells, ME 04090

Scott is a member of the North American 3 Cylinder Club, as I am, and is giving us a break on the cost because of the connection.

The prices are based on a run of 36 shirts and at the last count we had about 34 so if there are others out there who want shirts now is the time to speak up. Actually, they are so inexpensive that one could purchase three instead of two. :o)

FLASH FLASH FLASH

OK - some clarification and ground rules.

Scott doesn't want to handle things and wants to run all the shirts at the same time so I am going to have to act as the clearing house.

All shirts will be Ash gray, no pocket, small logo on the front breast area in black and gray imprinting. Large logo in black and gray on the back with the lettering in dark red or marooon.

Shipping will be via Priority Mail and will cost approx. $5.00 depending on where you live. The Priority rate ranges from $3.95 to $5.75 for the 8 zones. I'm near Albany, NY so those of you on the west coast will pay the max. I'm going to use Priority Mail 'cause the boxes are free and the delivery time is more prompt than Parcel Post.

Send me an email (just click on the highlighted name at the top left corner of this msg.) with your particulars. Once I get your email with your Zip code I'll let you know the total cost and you can mail me a check or MO for the total. Plse include the size, quantity and your shipping address.

When I get orders for about half the quantity needed to meet the minimum lot size I will order a lot of 36 and start sending them out.

Checks or money orders to be mailed to -

Suggestion - those of you who live near one another should combine your orders so that the shipping cost per shirt is reduced. That's what Dick Gibbons and his cronies did.

Cheers

Just above is the final version of the logos. We have decided to add the .com line to the front of the shirt so that you won't have to explain to folks how to get to the web site. Also, a small SM is going to be added to provide Andrew some protection for the logo.

As of this msg. we have booked 11 orders totalling 37 shirts.

Hello All - I have had a couple of inquiries regarding getting some more of our OME T-shirts. Scott Wilcox is retrieving the info needed to print them.

Last time we purchased them, they cost $8.00 for normal sizes and $10.00 for you big folks. This time around they will be in the $10.00+ range but it was 10 years ago so it is not surprising the the price went up. There will of course, be some shipping costs too.

Plse let me know via email regarding size and quantity to [email protected] if you are interested in getting new shirts.

Cheers

Hello All - I have a list started and am working with Scott Wilcox @ T-Shirts & Things, who printed the last batch, to see if we can get them printed in time to bring them to Mystic so we can save some shipping costs.

Scott needs a one week lead time so we will have to cut off the requests at the end of the second week of August, Friday, 10 August, so that he can get them to me.

The price per shirt is $10.00 except for the XXL size which is $12.00 and for any of you monster guys the XXXL and XXXXL are $14.00

Plse email me with what you want, both size and quantity per size. And those of you who are not able to get to Mystic plse make sure you send me your snail mail address. I think I can get at least two of the T-shirts into a flat rate USPS envelope to try to minimize the costs. The Cajun guys can take a bunch back home with them too.

Cheers

Hello All - as of today we have 56 shirts on the spread sheet and all those who have contacted me are accounted for. I am still planing to bring the shirts to Mystic for those who are attending. Those who are not - we will work out the shipping and or other arrangements.

For those who have not ordered, I have to move the cut-off date back to Wednesday, 1 August so that Scott has time to print them and get them to me.

Hello All - as of yesterday, the (58) T-shirts are on order and no new requests will be honored.

The plan is to bring a significant bunch of them to the Mystic Engine show so that JB can bring them home to Cajun country and also to the Portland show.

The price per shirt is the same as previously mentioned but an additional $.35/shirt will be added to cover the cost of shipping the shirts to me.

For those folks not at Mystic, I will contact you with a cost to mail them that will include the mailing cost to you plus the $ .35 shipping cost. But I am open to suggestions for other ways to get them to you.

Bob
