Literature: eBay and http://www.vmsl.com/inventory.htm# Knowledge: ask around the old tugboat men, put an advert in Western Mariner, call Dan Grinstead in Seattle. Try to find the engineers who served on your vessel. They will know all the stuff you really need, such as problems, maintenance history etc. Parts: http://www.rockisland.com/~marshall/atlasdiesel.html |

Joseph, That's great! What model of Atals Imperial is it? Can you post pictures or send them to me and I will post them here. We sell some Atlas Imperial Manuals and we have others that aren't listed. As Robert mentioned there are a lot of people who operated boats with Atlas Imperial engines that might be willing to help. You might call the local tug companies or your local maritime museum. |

Well congratulations!!!! I bought my tug in 2002 with the 400 - 6 cylinder and am having a great time with her. I can help with most things, but eBay and Mr. Marshall, and Mr. Grinstead are more local to you, I think. Please don't hesitate to contact me either on board or by phone. I'm glad to help. Having said all of this, what shape is she in? Do you have spares? What type of vessel is she? Details are great! And pictures... Here is a link to my site with some pictures and details of my experiences. I apologize for the untimely updates, but life has not been conducive to many free moments as yet. http://www.ghcoates.com/Tugboat.htm Good luck and look forward to hearing from you!! George Coates |

Today (August 18, 2012), I saw a dozen or more patterns for Atlas Imperial parts at the Springfield, Ohio, antique fair. Should you be interested in acquiring them (including the one that I purchased), you could send me a message, which I would share with the seller. Please see the attachment. |
