Our P-60 runs great after a rebuild. But: starting with choak pulled out, as it warms up it always slows, then dies. Then, when restarted it runs great from then on. Mixture seems OK. Ideas? |

What you describe sounds normal to me. If the engine is adjusted well and at least partially warmed up, it shouldn't be able to run with more than a little choke.
Mine requires full choke for a first start in the morining, but on a warm day you have to take off most of the choke as soon as it fires and the rest within a minute or so. It requires little/no choke for a warm start.
If you were able to run with more than a little choke after the engine was warmed up previously, I wonder if you weren't running lean before your overhaul. |
