Jim Parrot from LA. has provided the answer. Only took me about 30 years to find out what make engine it fits. This shows how the internet and the OME page has made possible solutions to long lost information. It is highly unlikely this question could ever have been aswered prior to the internet and particularly the OME page.

The igniter in question is for a Bruce Stewart & Co. Imperial Marine engine
