Here are the seal numbers for a late Palmer BH with a Paragon Reverse gear.
There are a total of 7 seals in the engine. They are as follows:
Front crankshaft (behind the flywheel)
Rear crankshaft (between the engine and reverse gear)
2 in the water pump
2 on the reverse gear shift shaft
Back of the reverse gear (companion flange)

These are all National Seal Numbers dimesnions in inches.
The info that is here is all I have. I didn't write the location on all of the boxes. If there are no dimensions that is because they wern't on the seal box.
qty 1 473213 1.312x2.250x.312 Front crankshaft This seal can be changed without removing the front cover
qty 1 473234 1.687x2.502x.312
qty 1 450154
qty 2 471255 .625x1.375x.250 water pump these are steel body seals. They are ok to use for fresh water or a show engine. For salt water you need a brass or ss body. When installing these in the water pump they face each other
qty 2 471529 reverse gear shift shaft

Ernie, According to my data the aft seal on the reverse gear is National 470059. The bearing on the aft end of the reverse gear is SKF 6206/C3
or NAPA 6206/C3 How do I come up with 8 seals???

Dick,
I will measure some parts today. The one in question is the rear crankshaft. Either 473234 or 450154 don't belong.
Thanks
Ernie

The 8th seal.
See revised seal list below.
There are 2 possible seals for the rear of the crankshaft. Either will work ok.

Use either number

qty 1 450154 1.687x2.502x,500
Water Pump
qty 2 471255 .625x1.375x.250 These are steel body seals. They are ok to use for fresh water or a show engine. For salt water you need a brass or ss body. When installing these in the water pump they face each other
qty 2 471529 reverse gear shift shaft
