Flipping through some old Gas Engine Magazines and found out what the critter is. It's a Northwestern Steel & Iron Works of Eau Claire Wis.

Yep, I have on of those with a brass tag out in the shed. I will have to look for pictures, I might have lost them from my hard drive crash. I also have a 5 horse horizontal stationary, and a 3 hp vertical stationary. They made a lot of railroad engines, too.
