A while back someone there was a picture floating arounf of an Ice Boat powered by an Elbridge Featherweight engine.
I finally go down to the library and pulled the 1912 newspaper article.

Thanks for the info John.
I thought my 4 cylinder engine was a Featherweight, but thanks to your link, I now know it is a Aero Special. It has a flywheel, so it was used for a marine application. I also have a three cylinder Type "A". It is always nice to see information on the companies for which I have engines. When was the company located in Elbridge, NY?

Keith, Delong started out in Elbridge NY as Delong-moved to Syracuse and then to Webster NY (as Delong)before setting up shop building the Elbridge with partners on Culver Road near the Erie canal at the time in Rochester I do believe-John will have to confirm this. Bruce |

I have some details on DeLong because he also tried to make automobiles. I will get a DeLong page up this fall.
I believe he was in Syracuse, then Phoenix then Elbridge then Rochester then Webster. Elbridge was reorganized a second time in Rochester and i think that is when he parted.
Anyone have anything else?
