Can anybody verify for me by looking at the picture i have and give me some information about Van Blerck.
Is there information somewere in internet about Van Blerck engines . I did not find any.

Jan,
Do a search of this board for "blerck" using the seach link at the top of the page. There have been quite a few postings about Van Blerck engines.
You should post some more pictures of your engine, it is hard to tell much from that one photo.

Yes i now, i found 8 links at old marine engine, but i would want to now if there is an register ower Van Blerck engine number somewere so that i can se for exampel the power of the engine and when it is made. Maybe in a museum.
I send on more foto of the other side.

I don't think there is a "registry" of Van Blerck serial numbers or model information. A lot of collectors (including me) have various Van Blerck catalogs, manuals, ads, etc, that might provide some information on your engine.
Do you have a model number? Do you know the displacement in cubic inches? What makes you say it might be from 1932? |

Here is some more fotos. The boat was taken out of water 1965 and have never been i Water after that. The first owner did pour oil into the hole engine in that time.
The boat was built for a 24 hour sea race.
I bought the engine and boat from a museum and they did say that the boat was built around 1932. Maybe the engine was changed after that.
I'm sorry for my english. I hope you will understand this.

Looking at it my guess would be its really a waukesha MZA engine.They were common in draglines and cranes,i have one out in the barn.A version was allso used in a Huber farm tractor.The block is a dead ringer for the MZA the distributor and manifolds are differant.Its common to find a casting date on waukesha engines,it can be on the block or head.I have a book somewhere that has the first year this engine was made. |

It's a Continental engine conversion done by Van Blerck. These are remanufactured industrial and auto engines converted for marine use during the depression. |
