I would like to thank Dick Day and Richard Dodds for their hospitality and for giving Marine Engine Collectors an oportunity to meet and share ideas and information. It was a great weekend and even the weather cooperated.
The Fay&Bowen ran for the first time, thanks to the expertise of Ernie. It seems the guy that restored the engine failed to replace a 1/4" pipe plug in the crankcase. I have learned, that will kill a two cycle engine. After Ernie identified the main problem and did a little tweaking of the carb and timing, she ran just fine. You can put me down for next year

Thanks for the good words Keith but the real credit goes to Richard Dodds. He has worked very hard to make the show a sucess. Ernie and I both told him don't change anything. The show is just right, casual and comfortable. Exhibitors just like to be left to their own devices. They don't need any supervision or special treatment. Setting up on Friday is convenient and some people will leave on Sat or early Sunday often depending on how far they have to travel. The date change this year worked out well as the Tiki Bar opening was over and the weather was pretty cooperative this year. I don't know if all the drunks from the Tiki Bar are out of jail yet but I guess that is their problem not ours. I understand that between 10,000 and 20,000 showed up this year. Strange attraction!!!

Ditto from me! Just about the best show that Helen and I attend!
Keith, the hard work was done by you! Your Fay and Bowen is just about the best restoration I have ever seen. Great machine work and the cosmetics to go with it! Note the prop in the pic, it is running. And run great it does.
Thanks for allowing me to play with your new toy.
Ernie
