As best as I can tell "Fahrig" was an old general term for composite metals that when poured in place or a mold required vented risers to form properly. Seems that Babbitt metal would be synonymous but it was patented ! http://www.whonamedit.com/doctor.cfm/363.html |

Fahrig metal was made by Fahrig Metals in Washburn, Wisconsin, owned in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by Hermann C. Fahrig. https://www.911metallurgist.com/babbitted-bearings/ https://mycompanies.fandom.com/wiki/Fahrig_Metal_Company |
