Does anyone know if the reverse gear off a 1953 Baby Husky will fit on a 1947 YT1. the tail piece on the YT looks about the same. The gear box is a Snow and Nabstedt. also the BH has two studs on its LH side are these provision for mounting a generator or starter? Just got the BH and after some repairs about to run it. Thanks BS. |

It seems to me you would have to make up a flange coupling set up between the YT and the S&N gearbox. Not an impossibly complicated job but one requiring some machining, seal and bearing support work on the gear box forward end. I can see no easy way to bolt up the YT with the gear box without the shaft coupling approach. As far as torque reqiremts the S&N reverse gear is more than adequate for the YT-1 or YT-2. |
