Andrew, Resrotation complete on my 4hp acadia, it looks like it is fresh off the showroom floor. Hope to have some Pics ready to post early next week. I have about 22 pics of the start to finish restoration project. I'll try to narrow them down to a minimum as not to take up extra space on your website. On another note, my engine has the nameplate missing from it. Is there any ditinguishing featues that could date my engine to approximate time of manufacure? I noticed when I was sandblasting the cylinder that there is a raised letter "P" near the bottom on the back part of the cylinder. Does anyone out there have any ideas what that stands for?. I also noticed that when I took the connecting rod off the crank that the bearing shims appeared to have numbers stamped in them. I almost looks like the previous owner used the engine name plate to make shims for the bearing. Who knows? anyway, happy motoring. |
