Have acquired a Palmer L H. Serial # plate missing above a repairable crack in the block. Looking for Edison "Type RM" magneto and picture of what the original intake manifold looked like. Turns over and inside crankcase is whistle clean, no cyl. ridge to speak of. Any photos of intake and electrical appreciated. Was this thing started by kicking the flywheel or ??? no place for a crank at the flywheel.

This additional comment came in from Doug.

Can someone else help with this? I don't know the answer.

Thank you Andrew! this is just what I need for the engine arrangement.

Just how was that hummer started anyway? No place for crank, no ring gear??? Grab the flywheel and pull??

Thanks, Doug

That is the hand start model just grab the flywheel and pull it over. With an impulse magneto the watermen liked it as it had no battery and starter to maintain.
