We have a 1964 Tollycraft with twin V-8's. Are the parts for these hard to get? They are V8C-225's with about 1000 original hours on them. We would like to keep them rather than replace them. The boat is new to us. |

The V8C-225 is the 327 cid engine, 225HP @ 4400 RMP.
Parts should be generally available for that engine, with the possible excemption of manifolds.
You can get manuals for it on the MarineEngine.com site.
For parts you could try Duby Marine in NY. 716-694-0922 |

Thank you for the info. There has been much debate as to the manufacturer of these engines. So far it's been narrowed down to 2 possible companies, either GM or Rambler. Could you possible shed any light on this for us? |

AMC , same as the AMC Rambler (to the best of my knowledge). |

Both Andrew and "Fastjeff" have been extremely helpfull on this engine and if you are planning on doing the work yourself I would highly recommend the service manual that is available. If you would happen to have an extra pushrod laying around let me know.
