I would like to thank Dick Day for his help "off the boards" with my BH seals replacement. I am all cleaned up, repainted ( POR-15 engine kit), and ready to go back in the boat. I'm replacing the wiring as most of it probably dates back to the 12 volt upgrade. I purchased #14 awg marine wire as specified in the manual diagram. When I got started I noticed the wire I was replacing was probably #10 gauge. Is the #14 OK ?? |

14 is fine for ignition, sensors, and voltage regulator. Starter generators should have a heavier wire on the start-charge circuit. |
