Looking for MD 1 owners. Last week engine overheated when no water in exhaust. Replaced impeller, checked seacock and traced flow as far as manifold without finding blockage. Removed water distributor but no thermostat present. Any ideas. Thanks, John |

John,
Recently overhauled an MD1 completely and found the block and head cooling water passages blocked up about 80%with hard broken off rust scale etc! No problems with cooling there afterwards. Only other thing it may be assuming every else is ok, would some of a previous jabsco impeller be lodged in the small discharge pipe of the pump?
