I have a 4hp Acadia and am wondering what is the function of the 2nd exhaust port in the exhaust flange. The upper is threaded for 2" pipe and is the main exhaust. Right below that is another port threaded for 3/4 or 1" pipe.

Thats for the accelerator valve. After the engine is running and warmed up you open a little valve that increases the engine speed as long as you don't open it too far. If you don't have the valve just put a pipe plug in it and the engine will run perfectly happily just not a few turns faster under load.
