I had to change the frostplug in cylinder. now the new one moves out when the engine is working. we tried diffrent thinks to fix it (sikkaflex), but nothing works. Who knews this problem or has any idear? |

If it's a very serious problem with no other solution, try putting some very small "Bob Punch" marks around the recess in the block where the frost plug fits in to make it a slight interference fit. This combined with a good sealing and semi hardning compound normally will do the trick - only be careful ! I have done this with a 800hp engine which had the same problem and which was possibly due to a new batch of frost plugs we received onboard. -Pat. |
