My father has a Coventry Victor W.N.4 that has been converted to an outboard and was apparently used for a WWII landing craft. Dose anyone have any information on what type of landing craft this may have been used and who might have done the conversion. |

Not sure what a W.N.4 is. I am only familiar with the 8hp CV opposed twin that was mounted on an outboard lower unit and sold as a fisherman's motor. The only one I have seen has a unique lower unit and it appears that this was done at the CV works. I presume the W.N. 4 is a much more powerful unit. The only assault boat outboards I've seen are JOhnsons and Evinrudes. |
