This is a 1921 DisPro that was recently completed. The cypress used was from old sunk logs wich were quarter sawn and book matched as plaks to even the stresses out . The engine was in a flood a number of year ago and sat with water in it , but did not deterirorate to the point of junk. The basic hardware was there but a lot of the small parts had to be re-invented. I went for a spin in it, after the picture takng and for a 3 HP it goes likes stink. The muffler reduces the exhaust to a chuff and removs the bark from the sond - relly nice for lazy summer evenings. It is going to live in the Muskoka region. miro It won't stay this clean for long - - still has not been annointed with the foul combination of spent bearing grease plus oil plus bilge dropppings and other environmentally awful stuff. This is the Dippy Doctor as he is known. - Does very fine work. |
