1940's marina with lots of old stuff is being sold on the 22.One listing is a cabin crusier 31'with a palmer opposed 6 cylinder engine.It says has been stored since 1958.sale is in RI.609-693-6095 |

I bet the "opposed Palmer" are "mirror image" spacemaker sixes. Palmer marinized IHC truck 6 cylinder engines that had been layed down almost horizontal. At a quick look if they were close together they would look like an opposed 6. Pic of one below. This engine is now part of the heritage Engine Collection in Compton, MD It was a gift of Kenneth R. Moe of cambridge, MA

Thanks to Ernie we now have one of the most popular engines that Palmer marketed for some years. Looking forward to firing it up prior to putting it away for the winter. Thanks to Ernie and Bob Long for the multiple moves and repairs and thanks to Ken Moe for the donation. It will have a safe home. |

I only have a small sale ad in a newspaper.You guys know the engines better than they do.NJ is correct.It allso lists a wooden bay bar skiff. |
