I have a JW Brooke engine which was produced in 1932 speifically for the "Dinghymota" boat. Does anyone have any information about either? I have attached some pictures.

I too have one of these engines and I have never heard of another one - I live in Nottingham UK. There are a few articles relating to them which I have. They were designed to be lifted in and out( the inboard equivalent of an outboard)with quite a lot of aluminium used in its construction. Contact me and I will try and get some copies done. Interesting yours is painted in "Brooke green". Mine was pale blue when I got it - still is as I haven't pulled it apart yet, as I am busy rebuilding a Brooke 3A - single cylinder, about 3/4hp

Hello bartopr,
I saw your post about rebuilding a Brooke 3A.
I volunteer at the Classic Boat museum in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
We have a 3A in one of our boats and would like to try and get it running. Do you know where we could find any technical information about this engine. We think we have all the parts!
The engine number is L1574.
Thanks in advance.
Keith
