WOW - the Centre has a bronze foundry https://buffalomaritimecenter.org/foundry-2/ that was established to make the hardware for the local boat shop activities as well as metal arts. The Calvert Engine Show is the same weekend :={ Miro |

I think its a shame that competing interest for antique inboard and out board venues are scheduled in the same time frame. With the limited participants , respecting existing venues should be a consideration. My question is why split the limited audience? Keith Billet |

I just wish the dates wouldnt conflict. Then antique marine engine Collectors wouldnt have to chose between the two. They could attend both. Keith Billet |

Would there be another date for the Finger Lakes chapter of AMOCI to hold their annual show and swap meet? Of course this would be for next year. |

I can see what guys are saying, but the inboard and outboard guys are largely a different subset. While the end result is great meets and gatherings it is a case of only so many weekends. Besides messing with inboards and outboards, I race hydroplanes and play trombone in a few different groups. There is just a lot to do and dates will often conflict and we have to make decisions on which to attend. What about when a great auction or sale happens to fall on a traditional meet day???? Oh the dilemmas. Just be glad that there are people interested enough to keep these things going and have "too many" interests. Steve |
