Salt water or fresh water engine? ... Makes a big difference.
I have seen real nice clean ones go at auction for as little as $150 (sorry I missed the actual auction), and as high as marked in the area of $2500.
It all depends on the internal condition, is it running well and does someone have a use for it. Quite frankly without a carb & not running I think you should be pretty happy with a couple of hundred or so.

I am parting out a 1965 Graymarine 220hp 327. Heads are new never been on the motor, excellent manifolds, gaskets, .030 over pistons, rebuilt carb, all parts minus the block. Call me for more info at 206-818-2026
