I am marine engineer. I ran a 6 cyl. Fairbanks 32E14 in an 80 foot tug out of South Florida. Now I am a writer. My novel in progress has a tug. The actual vessel was built in 1894 and reportedly had a gasoline engine. I am attaching a photograph of her. There is no apparent evidence that she was ever powered by steam. What gasoline engine would have been installed in a vessel this size in 1894? Richard
